Maison Assam · Beni Mellal, Morocco

Finished by Hand in Morocco.
Worn Across the World.

Our workshop is in Beni Mellal, at the foot of the Atlas Mountains. This is where Maison Assam was born — not in a factory, not in a trend report, but in our own workshop, where every piece is designed in 3D, cast in 925 silver or 18K gold, and finished by hand.

From an Engineer's Desk to a Jeweler's Bench

From engineer to jeweler

My path into jewelry began far from where I expected. I trained as an electrical engineer, and in 2010 I moved to Turkey, where I worked as an interpreter for Moroccan and Arab jewelers at international trade fairs. What began as a job became a passion. In 2011, I started learning the craft from Turkish and Armenian master jewelers, and I spent the next nine years learning their techniques and their eye for detail.

Back home to Morocco

In 2020, I returned to Morocco and opened our workshop in Beni Mellal, at the foot of the Atlas Mountains. My goal was to bring traditional jewelry skills together with modern technology, without losing the human touch that makes a piece special. In 2026, we created Maison Assam to share this work with customers in the USA and Europe.

Why Maison Assam

I saw customers facing two choices: mass-produced pieces with no personality, or fully handmade pieces that take a long time and cost a lot. I wanted to offer something in between, without giving up quality or character.

So we design each piece in 3D, cast it in sterling silver or 18K gold, and our artisans finish it by hand. This lets us make personal jewelry in weeks, not months, and at a fair price.

We don't try to make the cheapest jewelry, and we don't make thousands of identical pieces. We want each person to own something meaningful, well made, and truly theirs.

Moroccan craftsmanship, guided by tradition, empowered by technology, and shaped by your story.
— Mohamed Assam, Founder

Every piece we make carries the DNA of a living heritage: the geometric precision of zellige tile art, the symbolic vocabulary of Amazigh identity, the sacred weight of Arabic calligraphy. These are not decorative choices. They are a language — one that Moroccan communities around the world still speak, and that we translate into silver and gold for you to wear.

The Motifs Behind Every Piece

Zellige Geometry
Zellige is the art of hand-cut ceramic tilework that covers the walls of Morocco's great medinas. Its patterns — interlocking stars, hexagons, and infinite repeat — are a meditation on mathematical order and spiritual harmony. When we engrave zellige geometry into silver, we are carrying a 1,000-year-old visual tradition from the walls of Fès into your everyday life.
Amazigh & Berber Symbols
The Amazigh people — the indigenous people of North Africa — have used symbolic language in jewelry, textiles, and tattoos for thousands of years. The fibula, the hand, the lozenge, the tifinagh script: each symbol carries meaning about identity, protection, fertility, and belonging. For the Moroccan diaspora, wearing these symbols is an act of cultural memory.
Arabic Calligraphy
Arabic calligraphy is considered the highest form of Islamic art — a visual expression of divine language. We draw Quranic verses, names, and personal dedications into the 3D design, so the letters are cast into the silver or gold, then cleaned and sharpened by hand. Every inscription is prepared by a craftsman who understands not just the letterforms but their meaning.

Silver & Gold, Done Right

Sterling Silver · 925
Sterling Silver 925

Sterling silver contains 92.5% pure silver. The remaining alloy gives the metal strength for everyday jewelry. We work in 925 sterling silver for our silver designs.

Fine Gold · 18K
18K Yellow Gold

75% pure gold — the benchmark for luxury fine jewelry worldwide. Rich in color, resistant to tarnish, and heavy enough to feel substantial on the hand. We work gold on request for custom commissions and select pieces in our collection.

This is Not a Dropshipping Operation.
This is an Atelier.

Maison Assam is built on the hands of skilled Moroccan craftspeople. We design each piece in 3D in our workshop, 3D-print a model, cast it in 925 sterling silver or 18K gold, then finish it by hand: we clean and sharpen every detail, set the stones and polish the piece.

When you commission a custom piece, a real person in Beni Mellal reads your request, selects the metal, and works it into the design you described.

"Designed in 3D. Finished by hand. Made in Morocco, the right way."
